Bάζω λίγο σκοτάδι και λιγάκι βροχή
για να σου φτιάξω μια παράξενη αρχή

Σε πάω σε δρόμο μικρό, σε σοκάκι παλιό
σ' ένα αιώνια ποτισμένο απ' το κρασί καπηλειό,
μέρος κακόφημο, ακόμα και για το στοχασμό μου
που ούτε κι ο φόβος δε με φέρνει στ' όνειρό μου.
Εδώ λοιπόν, θα μοιραστώ μια ιστορία μαζί σου
που 'ναι σα να συνέβη χθες και ορκίσου
αν σε πειράξει τόσο που ντραπείς
πουθενά να μη τη πεις.

Καλώς ήρθες, ξένε, στον τόπο μου
άραξε δίπλα να σου βάλω ένα κρασί να πιεις,
συγχώρεσέ με λιγάκι για τον τρόπο μου,
μα με βρήκες στην αγκαλιά της ντροπής.
Ξέμεινα μόνος μου, πάρε και κάτσε όπου θες,
κουρασμένο σε βλέπω, πρέπει καιρό να γυρίζεις,

- Κι όμως μυρίζεις ουρανό και χώματα
κι αυτή την όμορφη δροσιά της σιωπής...

- Είναι που μ' έφεραν εδώ αλλόκοτα μαλώματα,
άκου λοιπόν τι θα τους πεις:

κι αφού σκοτώνουν στ' όνομά μου,
